Our diverse group is made up of local pullers that moved up in the ranks as well as national pullers that, due to travel distances and costs, allows them to continue to pull professional but economically. Nebraska Bush Pullers - Nebraska Bush Pullers. Our crowds range into the thousands.ĬOTPA is a professional organization positioned between the local and national puller level. This encompasses the entire state of Ohio as well as portions of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana and Michigan. Now the COTPA has approximately 90 members pulling in over 100 pulls. This also allowed our organization to more align ourselves with the promoters, pullers and especially our fans. To stay with the times, our name changed in November, 2007, to the Central Ohio Tractor Pullers Association eliminating the antique segment of our club. Seventeen years later we are proud to say one of the original trustees is still pulling today.Īs the pullers demand for speed and power increased, as well as the need for more modern machines, new classes were formed. Their objective was to enter, sponsor, promote and organize the recreational activity of antique tractor pulling. Membership consists of early dues, working at events and celebrating at an annual pulling club banquet.The COTPA was first chartered as a non-profit organization in May, 1997, as the Central Ohio Antique Tractor Pullers Association. In 2002, MVP started another chapter of its history by holding its first NATPA national qualifier, bringing 300 plus tractors to Wauseon. Since then MVP has participated in many events, renting equipment, supplying labor, and expertise to pulls in Ohio and Michigan. In 1999, the club incorporated as Maumee Valley Pullers, Inc. The Fulton County Fair Pull, as ran by MVP won this award 13 out of the last 15 years. A highly prized award, it is based on the votes of the competitors themselves. Truck and tractor pulling, also known as power pulling, is a motorsport competition, popular in the United States, Canada, Europe Australia, Brazil and New. Having ran the Fulton County Fair pull successfully finally paid off in 1997, when the fair pull was awarded NTPA Regional Pull of the Year.
